What counts as wear and tear?
Certain parts are typical wear parts, e.g.:
- Wheels
- Ball bearings
- Grip tape
- Brakes
Normal wear and tear is generally not covered under warranty.
Stunt Scooter – Selection & Buying Guide
For beginners, we recommend a stable, complete setup with robust compression and a solid deck. A suitable handlebar height and a scooter that matches the rider's height and weight are essential.
Advanced riders often choose lighter setups with a stronger focus on street or park riding - depending on where you mainly ride.
A Stunt Scooter is built for tricks: reinforced construction, fixed handlebar height (not foldable), more stable parts and better control in the skatepark or street.
A normal Kick Scooter is intended more for everyday use/transport.
As a rule of thumb:
- Beginners: Handlebars between hip and navel
- Advanced: often slightly lower for more control during tricks
If you tell us your height, we will be happy to help you with a recommendation.
Spare parts & compatibility
Yes. Madd Gear Europe offers a wide selection of spare parts and components, e.g.:
- Wheels and ball bearings
- Handlebars, Clamps & Grips
- Decks, Forks
- Brakes, Axles & Hardware
Not always. Compatibility is particularly important with these parts:
- Compression system (IHC/HIC/SCS)
- Handlebar diameter (standard/oversized)
- Clamp size (2-bolt / 4-bolt / SCS)
- Wheel size & axle dimension
If you are unsure: Send us a photo or the model name and we will quickly help you find the right parts.
Pay attention to:
- Roller diameter (e.g. 100/110/120mm)
- Roll width (standard or wide)
- Axle size & spacers
Assembly, Setup & Maintenance
As a rule, all our scooters and other products are delivered partially assembled (the handlebars usually need to be attached). This is quick and easy and can be done in just a few steps.
Yes. Especially at the beginning. We recommend:
- Check everything before the first ride
- Then check regularly (depending on driving style)
If your handlebars are not securely attached, check the following components:
- Is the clamp loose?
- The compression system - is it incorrectly inserted or loose?
If you send us a short video, we'll gladly take a look at the problem and give you feedback on what to do.
- Keep dry (avoid water)
- clean and re-grease as needed
- replace if performance deteriorates.
Safety & Usage
We always recommend:
Helmet
- knee and elbow pads
- gloves optional but helpful
- Protection is extremely important, especially in skateparks.
Is there a maximum load?
- Yes - the maximum load depends on the model and is stated in the respective product description.
