Spare parts compatibility guide | Madd Gear Europe
Are you unsure which part fits your scooter? No problem – with this guide you can quickly find the right replacement part for your Stunt Scooter or Kick Scooter.
Preliminary check: What information do you need from your scooter?
To ensure you buy the right part, it's best to check:
- Modellname (z. B. MGP / Madd Gear Modell)
- Year of manufacture / Version (if known)
- Roll size (e.g. 110 mm)
- Handlebar diameter (standard or oversized)
- Compression system (IHC / HIC / SCS)
💡 Tip: If you're unsure, send us a photo of the scooter (handlebars + wheels) and we'll help you.
Rollers and axles
Typical sizes for stunt scooter wheels:
- 100 mm
- 110 mm (very common)
- 120 mm (only if deck & fork are suitable)
Not always. Pay attention to these 3 points:
1. Diameter (mm)
Your fork and deck must accommodate the size.
2. Rollenbreite
- Standard width (classic on many complete scooters)
- Wide wheels (wider - need matching fork + deck)
3. Axle size / Hardware:
The axle must fit the wheel and the fork (including spacers).
Ball bearings - which ones fit?
Standard scooter/skate bearings usually fit all common wheels.
💡 Tip: Make sure you need 2 bearings per wheel (so 4 per scooter).
ABEC is a tolerance rating. In practice, the most important factors for scooters are:
- clean installation
- good spacers
- regular maintenance
Deck - will any deck fit my scooter?
- Narrower = more maneuverable (park)
- Wider = more stable (street)
Check if the deck needs a brake for:
- Standard casters
- Wide wheels
📌 Note: Decks may require new trucks/spacers depending on the setup.
Fork – the most important compatibility part
Fork – the most important compatibility part
Which rollers fit in the fork?
- 100 mm
- 110 mm
- 120 mm
The fork must match your compression ratio:
- IHC Fork → for IHC Setup
- HIC Fork → for HIC Setup
- SCS Fork → for SCS Setup (or HIC-compatible depending on the version)
Handlebars – is the diameter correct?
Handlebars – is the diameter correct?
31.8 mm (standard)
requires standard clamp / IHC frequently
34,9 mm
benötigt Oversized Clamp / oft HIC oder SCS
Clamp - what do you need to pay attention to?
Suitable for many IHC/HIC setups;
must match the diameter:
- Standard (31,8)
- Oversized (34,9)
especially stable
- Requires a suitable SCS handlebar/fork setup.
- SCS is usually larger and replaces "classic" HIC spacer solutions.
Handles - do they always fit?
Scooter grips are usually universal, as long as:
- Handlebar ends are clean
- suitable bar ends are used.
Brakes - which one is the right one?
- Deck model
- Roll size
Headset (headset) - what to look out for?
Most stunt scooters use integrated headsets.
When using a headset/compression headset, pay attention to:
- compatible fork
- Suitable Compression (IHC/HIC/SCS)
If your handlebars are "hard to turn" or "clicking", it is often due to the headset or overtightened compression.
